Nicholas Banfield, 25, passed away February 09, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas from a rock climbing accident. Nicholas was born in Garland, TX to John Banfield, Jr. and Valerie Banfield. He graduated from Johnson City High School in 2007 where he was involved with the band for a number of years.

Howard Newton Cox was born at home in Blanco, Texas January 26, 1934. He departed this life peacefully on February 11, 2015 at the age of 81. Howard was the youngest of five children born to Andrew Marion and Mary Elizabeth (Price) Cox. Howard married Dolores Sue Dittrich on May 11, 1955. They lived and raised their six children moving to many towns across Texas where Howard worked paving roads.

John Stephen Capra, a long-time resident of Rosenberg, passed away early on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in Wyckoff, NJ due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. John Capra born September 7, 1940 in New Bedford, MA, the son of Mary Oliver Joseph and John Joseph Capra, brother to Joseph Alan Capra of Acushnet, MA and Judith Ann Nobrega of New Bedford, MA.

We celebrate the life of Gordon Lee Minshew II, of Johnson City, Texas, and remember all of the “good times”. Prior to his death, he spent his time working with his father, David Minshew at Best Rates Electrical and HVAC Services, where he was learning to be an electrician and air conditioning technician.

Madeleine Ellis Moss, 67, passed away on January 6, 2015 at home in Johnson City, TX. She was born on June 3, 1947 in Pasadena, TX to John and Catherine Ellis. Madeleine grew up in Pasadena and graduated from Pasadena Memorial High School. Madeleine married Ralph Moss in 1964 in Pasadena.

Lee Benjamin Casparis, 86, passed away January 16, 2015 in Johnson City. Lee was born in Johnson City to Howard Milton and Regina Smith Casparis. He was raised in Johnson City and graduated from Johnson City High School where he was part of a winning basketball team. Lee attended Tarleton State University.

Alfred “Al” Davis, Jr. passed away on September 19, 2014 at the age of 95 after a brief illness. He was born on February 10, 1919 in Johnson City to Alfred and Annie (Casparis) Davis. His great grandparents, Alfred and Mary Russell Davis, were pioneer settlers in the Blowout community in Northwest Blanco County where the Davis Ranch is still located.
