John Hall Thomas MD, 70, of Round Mountain Texas, TX died peacefully in Van Horn, Texas on November 23, 2014. Born October 22, 1944 in Austin, Texas, he was the second child of the late John Fulton Thomas MD and Martha Hall Thomas. John earned his undergraduate degree at University of Texas, Austin where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Clemente “Junior” Bocanegra” Castillo, 68, passed away November 19, 2014 in Austin surrounded by his family. Junior was born in Austin to Clemente and Lorenza Castillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Jose Carmelo Villarreal and Maximilian Castillo; granddaughter, Jessica Flores and grandson Fernando Paul Flores.

Alfred “Al” Davis, Jr. passed away on September 19, 2014 at the age of 95 after a brief illness. He was born on February 10, 1919 in Johnson City to Alfred and Annie (Casparis) Davis. His great grandparents, Alfred and Mary Russell Davis, were pioneer settlers in the Blowout community in Northwest Blanco County where the Davis Ranch is still located.

F.H. or Bozo as he was known, was the middle child of the family and raised during the depression years.

Charles Lloyd Ahrens, 75, of Buffalo, Texas died peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 7, 2014. He was born December 6, 1938 at Sandy, Texas to Orwin Ahrens and Louise Sultemeier Ahrens, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Vernell Scherer. He graduated valedictorian from Johnson City High School in 1957.

Nita Jane was born on August 22, 1935 in Coolidge, Texas to Jack and Essie (Brooks) East. She was a graduate of Deer Park High School and attended college for a while before working as a secretary at a chemical company.
