All of the fans, players and lovely ladies and their escorts had a great time at the 2011 Johnson City Homecoming game. There was a great turnout and everyone enjoyed the game and the company.
2011 LBJ High School Homecoming Queen Madison Fountaine and her escort, Eagle Varsity Football player Van Johnson. Madison is a Senior at LBJHS, Head Cheerleader and the daughter of Mike Fountaine and Tina Barrientes. Van is a Senior and the son of David and Jacqueline Johnson.

Congratulations to the LBJ Fighting Eagle Band for their award winning performance in San Antonio this past Saturday at the Rough Rider Marching Contest. Through rain, wind and San Antonio traffic, the band maintained their composure and marched a great show! Drum Major Amara Yachimski garnered the top Drum Major award in Class 1A even as she was recovering from surgery just two days prior to the contest. The band will be competing in the Region 18/26 University Interscholastic Leagu ...

It’s just about that time again…Homecoming 2011 for Johnson City Schools is Friday, October 21st. LBJHS is seeking addresses for members of the Honor Classes for this year - 1941, 1951, 1961, 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001 and 2011. This will be the third year that the halftime ceremony of the Homecoming Football game will include the Parade of the Decades.
On Tuesday, the Johnson City Aquila Yearbook staff participated in a workshop held by Walsworth Yearbooks. The students, James Malone, Patrick Malone, Shelby Conlon, Ellie Park, Meagan Hein, Jacky Medrano, and Tiffany Moreland travelled to San Antonio’s Trinity University. While there, they learned the basic elements of design, theme, and coverage for the yearbook.
The LBJ Fighting Eagle band participated in the Hill Country Marching Festival in Fredericksburg this past Saturday along with 22 regional bands as they prepare for the UIL contest later this month. Out of the six division 1A bands competing, LBJ earned a 2nd place award with their exciting Latin themed show.

Students gather at See You At The Pole. It is a student run event, where the students gather around the high school flag pole and pray. This morning the prayers consisted of prayers for the school, other students and country. Also there were some thanks to God for the rain we received.
