Wilma Irene Luersen, 97, passed away Tuesday, June 08, 2010 in Johnson City. She was born in Wimberley, TX to Leonard Wagner and Annie Mae Champion Wagner. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Silas "Bud" Crossley and Edwin Luersen, sisters, Gladys "Jack" Smith and Neva Ray Wagner, and brother, Leonard "Buddy"

Doris Marie (Motes) Kelley, 87, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at a local hospital. Born in Stamford, TX on October 23, 1922, she was the daughter of William Earl and Bessie Mae (Boyles) Motes. She worked in the Hughes Douglas Airplane factory during WWII, on of the Rosie the Riveters.
Nona Ellis, age 87 of Santa Anna, died Wednesday, May 26, 010 at Cross Country Nursing Home in Brownwood. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, may 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Anna with Rev. Wayne Lewis officiating and assisted by Rev. Kermit Sorrells.

Clemens Raymond Lorenz, 85, of Johnson City, TX passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 in San Antonio, TX. Clemens was born July 16, 1924 in Eckert, TX to Edwin and Sophie Lorenz. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II from June 3, 1943 to January 24, 1946. Clemens was a lifetime member of the VFW and the National Rifle Association.
Melvin D. Eubanks, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Bryan, TX. He was born in San Antonio, TX to Sam Houston Eubanks and Fannie Kerby Eubanks. Melvin graduated from High School in Gonzales, TX and later joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. He proudly served his country during WWII in the CBI and South Pacific campaigns. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Claude K.

Carlos August Grote, born August 10, 1916, was the first of nine children. He grew up on the family ranch between Johnson City and Willow City, just inside the Blanco County line. He attended Big Flat School near the ranch, and later lived in Fredericksburg with his grandmother in order to graduate from Fredericksburg High School.

Lesa Ann Green, 53, passed away April 14, 2010 at her home in Johnson City. She was born in Odessa to Donald D. Green and Monnie Ensey. Lesa is survived by her father Don Green and wife Frankie; mother, Monnie Page and husband Andrew; daughter, Amy Burris; brother, Donald Wade Green and wife Tammy; sisters, Sydney Crossley, and Terry Witty and husband Reggie; granddaughters, Brooke and Ashlyn Burris.

Janette A. Lindig, 62, of Austin passed away suddenly at her home April 10, 2010. She was born June 1, 1947 in Fredericksburg to Felix and Addie (Sultemeier) Lindig and grew up in the Rocky Creek Community, Johnson City. She is survived by a brother Al Louis (Brenda) Lindig of Johnson City and two sisters; Joann Lindig (John Machalski) of Cottekill, NY and Merilyn (Allen) Hatcher of Derby, KS. Marshall Edgar Bruce, 84, passed away April 7, 2010 at his home in Johnson City. He was born in Lansing, MI to John William Bruce and Myrle Tallmadge Bruce. Marshall enlisted with the U.S. Army and later retired from the U.S. Air Force, worked with the Boy Scouts of America and later retired from Brazoria County where he worked in road construction.

Caleb William Ferguson was born and went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 9th. A graveside service will be held at Sandy Cemetery on Saturday, March 13th at 2:00pm. Every life however long or short, has a profound impact on our world. Caleb’s heart valves are being donated so others may live. He is survived by his loving parents, Kyle and Corrine Ferguson and brother, Silas, from Sitka, Alaska.
