Treyler Caulfield (local boy, plays 1st base for the Eagles High School Varsity baseball team ). On Saturday, April 10th, Treyler participated in the McAllister Park Challenger League. This is a part of the McAllister Park Little League in San Antonio. They have boys and girls (called a Challenge Buddy) come in and teach a "Challenged" child to play baseball. They play along with them, teaching them to hit, catch and run the bases. Treyler’s "Challenged Buddy" is 6 yr old Jobe Caldwell. This was Jobe’s first time playing and despite wanting to sit on the bases instead of running them, he had a great time. Each team would let each player hit the ball and run the bases and then switch sides. This is for all ages, boys and girls. Treyler’s dad, Bob Caulfield told me " It was great to see this league of players with special needs running, throwing, hitting and just mostly having a blast. We all take for granted that we can do these things, but when you see these kids it just melts your heart and brings a tear to your eye." A fun time was had by all......
