Stars of the Milky Way Triangle
The Milky Way Triangle, also called the Summer Triangle, is currently high overhead in the early evening. Formed by three of the night sky’s bright stars — Vega, Altair, and Deneb — the triangle is easy to identify. Vega, the brightest overhead star, is a little to the northwest of the sky’s straight-up point, called the zenith.
Prissy's House Of Treasures
Prissy is our 6 year old low bred Chihuahua, in fact she was born into what was formerly a pig pen in the adjoining county. I didn’t see any pigs in the pen where we picked her up but I swear she makes pig noises, not the squeal really, but a grunting sound when she scours my kitchen floor looking for any bit of food I might have dropped. Prissy bonded with Pat instantly when he picked her up out of that pig pen over the three other pups so she doesn’t hide her loyalty to him.

The correct answer is, yes: the H1N1 swine flu pandemic is here in Texas and even Blanco County. It just doesn’t look like what most people expected. In the movies, people drop like flies when an epidemic hits, all at the same time, as the disease spreads as fast as special effects allow. In real life, though, it works differently.

We have all seen abandoned gardens which despite being neglected and uncared for are flourishing, flowering and beautiful. The plants you see in these gardens are probably native or adapted plants that are suited to our Texas soils and climate and can survive our long dry summers. Our busy lives leave us with limited time to spend in our gardens.
