I have tried and tried to figure out how to make this story into a quilting story but it just did not work out. I am in Maine and have had a wonderful time getting here. We were on the road early on Friday morning traveling towards Palestine, Texas and we kept seeing these signs for noonday onions.

While I am on this kick about me and makeup let me vent about lipstick. Lipstick is well named because this new lipstick that I have tried out really ‘sticks’. In fact it sticks so well that not only does it last all day but into the evening and unless you take really drastic measures you will find traces still on your lips the next morning.

Just when it looked like a quiet hurricane season, three named storms blew up last week. Tropical Storm Claudette went into the Florida panhandle with only a day’s warning. Ana is forecast to die before reaching the Gulf of Mexico, and Bill may miss the Gulf entirely. If, by some miracle, both were to come to Texas, Ana would cross the beach sometime this weekend, and Bill would be here a week from now. Last year at this time, Hurricane Dolly already had flooded South Texas and Hurricane ...
