Well Deserved Recognition.

Dear Editor,

I am so grateful to Josh for writing the article recognizing Library Moving Day. There was a lot of information in the article and he really did an excellent job of reporting accurately and listing the well deserved recognitions to our community.

I especially wanted to show appreciation to the LBJ National Historical Park who mistakenly was not included as sponsor for the “Movies Under the Stars” event. They had 5 rangers at the library to set up the gigantic outdoor screen and trouble shoot the equipment prior to the evening. The showing of the classic “Music Man” went off without a flaw. The projection and sound were magnificient and such a treat for those who stayed and braved the cold with mounds of blankets and coffee to keep warm. The rangers were on hand during the show and afterward to load up all the equipment long after the crowd was gone. Kudos to Russ, Gus, Jeff, Jonathan and Patrick who made this all possible for Johnson City’s first outdoor “Movie Under the Stars”. In addition, the talented NPS Cynthia Dorminey generously designed and planned the poster for “Movies Under the Stars” and Moving Day. We hope they will consider sharing this great gift again with our community. We owe the LBJNPS our gratitde for agreeing to partner with our community in so many ways.
