Anna Mae Casparis was born in Johnson City, TX on September 26, 1917 to Jimmie and Meta Stevenson. She passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008 at LBJ Medical Center. Mrs. Casparis was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Howard Milton “Big Red” Casparis. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Bearden of Johnson City and Dianna Gail Casparis of Killeen, TX; two grandchildren, Brent Ray Bearden and wife Kim of Ft. Collins, CO and Janna Lynn Bearden Douglas and husband Joel of Weatherford, TX; great granddaughters, Samantha and Savannah Bearden and Amanda and Ashton Douglas; sisters in law, Margaret Walker and Elmira Casparis; and brother in law, Jerry D. Casparis.
Graveside services were held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City officiated by Rev. Ernest Topper of First Christian Church where Anna Mae was a member since moving back to Johnson City. Music was provided by Shannon and Mary Stevenson, as well as Tony Stevenson and Chris Stevenson. A special thanks to Dr. Dan Ramsey and the staff of LBJ Medical Center.
Pallbearers were Brent Ray Bearden, Joel Douglas, Jerry D. Casparis, Shane Buck, Mark Liesmann, Tray Danz, and Mike Burrows. Honorary pallbearers were James Stevenson, George Stevenson, Joe Casparis, Lee B. Casparis, Leo Hudgens, George Danz, and Cubby Huddler.
