The Eagles football team traveled to Blanco last Friday night to play the number 6 rated team in the state. The Panthers were as good as their ratings as they defeated the Eagles 55 to 0.
The Eagles made only 5 first downs, and had 3 fumbles losing 2. Sophomore quarterback, Cody Smith was 4 completions in 10 attempts with 1 interception for 29 yards. Senior William Bullock had 2 catches for 20 yards; sophomore Kris McDonald was 2 for 9 yards. The totals for the rushing game were 19 carries for 66 yards. Junior Cody Atwood carried 4 times for 10 yards, Kris McDonald was 2 for 2 yards, and senior Wade Pistole was 9 carries for 54 yards.
The Panther passing attack was very good as they had 5 touchdown passes. They also had 335 rushing yards. The next game for the Eagles will be a home game against the San Antonio Randolph RoHawks at 7:30 Friday night October 31st. This is the last home game of the season.
