Things are still happening here. Our deer and turkeys still do their daily visits with us. This is an unbelievable sight.

Wow, woke up this morning and talk about cool weather, it is cool and a change for all of us. It is sort of nice to have a change of weather, however, we still need rain.

Do not forget the Texas Department of State Health Services providing FLU vaccinations at the United Methodist Church Activity Center @ 105 N LBJ Drive, Johnson City, Texas on November 7th, 2008 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. If you need additional info stop by the JCHA office @ 304 S Ave. F., Johnson City, Texas for the Flyer.

This week is an exciting week for all of us. We are having a Halloween Luncheon on Friday, October 31st, 2008 and we are being judged for the best costumes. After the luncheon we will meet at 4:00 PM outside and hand out candy for the Halloween trick-or-treaters. We have so much fun seeing the kids dressed up and stopping by to see us. I do believe that I will be a witch this year.

The First Baptist Church is having a B-B-Q this Saturday. Always good and worth a trip out to get some good food.

Did anybody watch football this past weekend? Well, the Longhorns won as did Dallas. Both games were close and exciting to watch. The Longhorns play Texas Tech this weekend on Saturday, November 1st, 2008 @ 7:00 PM. From what I hear this will be an exciting game to watch. Needless to say, I am a Longhorn fan so you will know where I will be on Saturday evening.

Food for thought: A Happy and safe Halloween to all!
