The Fredericksburg Chorale will present the next concert in its Dialogues and Dances series on Saturday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall located at 426 W. Main. The concert is open to the public free of charge; donations are accepted. Call 830-997-6869 or visit www.fredericksburgchorale.com for more information.

The concert will feature several new instrumental and vocal compositions as well as improvisations. Original poetry by Stephanie Sutton will also be presented.

Nolan Sutton, a student at St. Mary’s, will perform a piece he wrote for the trumpet entitled “The Yellow Yacht.” He’ll be accompanied by Mark Hierholzer on piano. Another piece for trumpet and accordion, “Sinister Dance,” by Mark Hierholzer will feature Kent Rylander and Hierholzer. “Triumph in solitude,” by Hierholzer will feature Troy Sutton and Rylander on trumpet and Hierholzer on piano.

Robert Foster will perform an oboe piece entitled “Pursuit” by Hierholzer. Edith Depoy, a student at Fredericksburg High School, will perform a piano piece by Adam Giese and “Toccata 12” by Hierholzer.

Hierholzer will perform piano pieces and improvisation for left hand only. Meagan Pyka will sing “Ocean,” a piece by Hierholzer, accompanied by him on piano.

Lauren Wise, a student at Ambleside, will perform two of her own piano compositions; one is a solo and the other is a duet with Hierholzer. Ms. Wise also created the poster for the concert.
