The 7th grade football team won 28-0 over Harper last Thursday in Johnson City. Oscar Alvarado scored three touchdowns and Preston Workman scored one touchdown. Jacob Wagner, Garrett DeLeon, and Tyler Conlon had good defensive games for the Eagles. Written by Eduardo Martinez and Jacob Wagner

The 8th grade football team sealed another win against the Harper Longhorns. Jason Byrd broke free on the 1st play of the game for a 60 yard touchdown. Byrd also had two other touchdowns including a kickoff return. Jaxon Riebesehl intercepted the ball and ran for a two yard gain. Later in the game the Eagle defense stopped the Longhorn’s long drive at the ten yard line which set up a 90 yard touchdown by Juan Alvarez. The final score was 26 – 12. Middle school volleyball teams continue to represent well. The gray team is 1-5 but always plays with super effort. Jessica Bean and Jennifer Martinez are consistent when serving. The black team remains undefeated. Kiley Wood always has great back row digs. Great servers on the black team are Brook Wood, Madison Dieke, and Tori Mahar. Whitney Wood is famous for her blocks. The maroon team’s strong server is Kendyll Kohlleppel with Kaitlyn Hubbard and Lacy Butler supporting the team in the back. The maroon team is now 3-3.
