2008 Homecoming Court Jessie Rios, Freshman; Kayla Jernigan, Sophomore; Kayla Meier, Junior; Megan Marks, Junior; Selina Solis; Senior; and Haylee Jernigan, Senior. Queen will be crowned at half time Friday night.
It is Homecoming week in Johnson City. Spirit week is going strong at the high school. Monday was Camo Day, Tuesday was College/Pro Teams Day, Wednesday was ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s day, Today is twins, triplets, etc. day (so if you see multiples, you are not going too crazy), and Friday, of course, is Eagle Pride day.
Thursday night will be a community wide pep rally at the football fields following the Jr. High games. All level cheer squads will lead the pep rally with many exciting and fun events planned.
Friday gets started with volleyball games against Brooks at 4:00 p.m. Come out and support the Lady Eagles before you head down to the football game.
Friday pregame festivities will include the introduction of the Homecoming Duchesses. Homecoming Queen will be crowned at half time by last years queen Breanne Lawrence.
Third quarter brings the entertainment of the mini cheerleaders from last weeks cheer camp held by the Varsity Cheerleaders.
After the game the Student Council will be sponsoring a Homecoming Dance in the Commons at the High School. Dance is for 9 - 12th grades only. Free admission.
Don’t forget to decorate your business for the Athletic Boosters “Business of the Week Spirit Challenge”. This will be an ongoing spirit challenge, so don’t think it’s over with Homecoming.
Also the Athletic Boosters will be giving away Football Blasters at the gate and Thunder Sticks during the game to enthusiastic fans. The FAN OF THE GAME will be awarded at the end of the fourth quarter. The last home game’s FAN OF THE GAME was Phyllis Wood.
Come out and support the Eagles as they take on the Brooks Bengals, Kick off at 7:30 p.m.
