The Lady Eagles hosted Manor on Friday night and captured an exciting 5-game win against Manor 22-25, 25-15,23-25,25-22, and 15-11. It was an up and down match that saw the Lady Eagles winning the final game 15-11. Dana Bushnell led offensively with 12 kills and 6 aces. Haylee Jernigan was strong defensively with 10 perfect digs. Alex Houston also led strongly with her on-target setting.

The Junior Varsity didn’t fair as well and fell to Manor in two games. Although this was a tough loss, good serving was seen from Brittany Harris, and great setting from Kourtney Smith.

We will have results of the Tuesday, September 2nd match against Bandera in the next issue. The Lady Eagles take a little break before district play begins on September 12th and are back in Johnson City on September 26th. We hope to see you there!
