Anyone who lives anywhere NEAR Avenue N knows what I’m talking about. I understand that some things are unavoidable during a construction project. Things like a coating of dirt over everything I own outside, constant shaking from giant digging equipment, and an ugly black chicken wire construction fence in my front yard.

But these guys go a step beyond: This construction crew has hit waterlines on MULTIPLE occasions, killed limbs out of our trees, and left my yard flooded with thick construction mud twice after rains. They had to dig up the pipeline twice to get the pipe in, and then it was clogged so had to dig it up a THIRD time. They don’t have electricity sometimes and have to use mine, which I let them use hoping it will speed up the completion. Today I caught them STEALING my water and TRESSPASSING to do it. That was not pretty, I’ll just leave it at that!

On a good note, I want to make clear that the City of JC is not who I am mad at. I think they spend a lot of their time fixing these guys mistakes. I even had 2 city employees over here one morning in the rain fixing my driveway that was left impassable the day before so we could get out! Also, the Volunteer Firefighters use the fire truck as a water truck and wet the dust down after these construction guys leave their mess….THANKS!

A parting shot to the construction crew: Hurry up and get done, THEN LEAVE!
