Horseshoe Bay resident Dolores Hollyfield Guinn will be appearing at Serendipity Books in the Market Place at 1103 FM 1431 in Marble Falls on Saturday, July 19th from 11 am- 1pm to read and sign her first children’s book entitled Frederick Frog and His Family “Being a Bully”. The book is the first in a new children’s series Ms. Guinn is writing. In this story, Frederick Frog tries to teach each of his children the rules of life through loving, but firm, discipline. His son Bertie is the main character and represents the child who tends to learn things the “hard way”. By the end of the book, Bertie discovers that his actions are harmful and realizes why he should follow the rules.

Guinn graduated from San Marcos Baptist Academy in San Marcos, TX. Afterwards, she spent time traveling to Europe and Saudi Arabia then attending Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio from which she graduated. She is now retired and enjoying life and her seven grandchildren.
