*****Honolulu was the scene of the National Farm Bureau Convention, attended by Ann & Don Casey, Wendy & Glen Sultemeier & Christine & Adrian Schulze. They had 3 days of meetings with a visit to Pearl Harbor on one afternoon. Then they went to the big island of Hawaii for another 5 days at Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort. They visited an Abalone Farm, a Kona Coffee farm, the Parker Cattle Ranch, a Macadamia Nut factory, the Rainbow Falls and the Volcanoes National Park. It was a wonderful trip, they learned and enjoyed much, but were all glad to get back home.*****Pearl Hedlund says a Big Thanks to all her friends for the cards and telephone calls to help her celebrate another birthday!! Spot a restaurant that looked intriguing? At a glance, it might be a nice place to dine at sometime. Pull out a small journal you can store in the door side pocket and jot down the establishment’s name, location and some general notes about why it looked interesting. This journal is a helpful travel companion that’s always on board, ready to give restaurant suggestions whenever you’re in the mood to eat out. Use the journal to help remember details about parks, stores and attractions you want to visit, or may visit again in the future. You might see someplace that that would be fun to visit. But without writing it down, you rarely remember to go back. When you do end up trying out the place, add additional information to your original entry after the evening was over. What a handy reference, and a great way to remember to get to all those interesting places!*****I’ll see you again when there’s more news. Speaking of news, if you have some, email it to imasnoop01@gmail.com.
