Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Johnson City will meet in Regular Session at City Hall, 303 East Pecan Drive, Johnson City, Texas, at 6:00 pm., the 20th of May, 2008, to consider the following:

POSSIBLE ACTION ITEMS:

1.Opening the Meeting.

2.Swear in new councilmembers.

3.Accept the audit of the fiscal year ending September 30, 2007 – Keith Neffendorf of Neffendorf, Klein, Knopp and Horry, PC.

4.Chamber of Commerce report.

5.Discussion and possible action on an Ordinance amending the Garbage Rate Ordinance # 06-010.

6.Discussion and possible action on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding signs.

7.Consider and possibly take action on amending the Subdivision Ordinance to include onsite septic systems.

8.Consider and possibly take action on amending the Sign Ordinance regarding banners.

9.Discussion and possible action on setting match for the Solid Waste Grant.

10.Petitions from the public.

11.Mayor’s Report.

12.Adjourn.

The City Council reserves the right to take necessary action on any of the items on the above agenda and/or go into closed executive session for any of the above items regarding legal matters (Section 551.071); Real Estate (Section 551.072); Gift or Donation (Section 551.073); Personnel (Section 551.074); Conference with Employees (Section 551.075); Deliberation Regarding Security Devices (Section 551.076); Agency Financed by Federal Government (Section 551.077); 551.087 (Economic Development), 418.183 (Deliberations about Homeland Security Issues) and as authorized by the Texas Tax Code including, but not limited to, Section 321.3022 (Sales Tax Information) and Exclusion of Witness from Hearing (Section 551.084).
