Although they lost in three games 14-25,20-25, and 9-25 the girls started to get their feet wet for the season. Meredith Neely led the team with 4 kills with the help of setter Kourtney Smith.

The Lady Eagles also participated in their first tournament of the season in Copperas Cove. This tournament hosted much larger teams that were challenging. The Lady Eagles beat two teams to enter into the Gold bracket – but on the second day, after a loss to Hyde Park, they ended up in the Silver bracket, coming in 4th for the tournament.
