A couple of months ago Jackie told me she was coming thru Llano and saw a sign on a car parked at the Courthouse square stating "Quilt Shop—2 miles CR something". Of course, I was interested to hear about a quilt shop, but it slipped my mind until this past week.
I called the Llano Chamber Office to inquire about the shop and the lady there was very excited to tell me about it. Finding out my info and making my notes, I called my two sisters and told them the trip was planned for Friday afternoon if they wanted to go with me.
Darlene, Marjorie, and myself, along with our spotter, Delbert, set out to Llano. After our spotter missed his sign and a turn around or two, we drove up at the same time the young lady who worked at the shop did. Perfect timing.
The shop was not large but she had a good variety of fabrics from Moda and others. We, of course, found several things we could not go home without.
We were able to leave some bookmarks for our upcoming Quilt Show so hopefully finding this new little shop will help promote our show on September 18th. We are all working hard to make Blanco County proud of us. Our first large quilt show was the year before last and it was great. We hope to have an even better and bigger one this year.
Happy Quilting, Janie
