Dear Editor:
I read with interest the plight that Aurelia Dominguez and her children Myra and Maricel find themselves. Not only did the house that Mrs. Dominguez owned burned to the ground but the debris that is left has to be moved.
Already one daughter Myra Hernandez has paid almost $1000 in trying to comply with whatever the city or whomever says must be done but as you read someone took advantage of the empty dumpster and decided to make use of it for themselves.I hope these people will be identified and forced to pay for what they used or maybe as a fine have to help clear the debris.
Roy Burdett’s generous offer to have the debris moved to his place to be disposed of or burned was a God send. These grown children of Mrs. Dominguez are all responsible and hard working (employed) adults but on average salaries can only do so much to alleviate this problem.
Maybe someone will come up with an idea to have a work party to help clear this property..maybe one of the churches or some kind of benefit would take on this project..this is surely a family deserving of help.
I have known Aurelia Dominguez for 20 years and she was in my employ for 15 or so of those years and had to quit as she became diabetic and then for some 5 or more years since then she has been on dialysis.
Her children the daughters and two sons Luis and Sergio and even the grandchildren who drive have helped their grandmother get to Marble Falls three times a week for her treatments. They have to take and pick her up and understand they all work regular jobs and still are able to do this.
Anyone looking to give a helping hand might give a call to Myra Hernandez at the Ramsey Clinic 868-4033 ..where she is employed. As a side note Myra’s son Marcos is to graduate from the Marine boot camp in San Diego this August and will be serving his country for the next 4 years. Keep him and his family in your prayers.
