Well, we are working on our upcoming Quilt Show. Ladies are busy finishing up those quilts and projects to put in the quilt show. We can’t wait for you to see them. Our show is the 3rd Saturday in September and we hope it will be cooling off some by then.

I have had my Garden Gate Embroidery Quilt quilted by one of the best and just need to get the binding on it and it will be ready for the show. It turned out really pretty. They always say the quilting makes the quilt and in this case it is true.

We always try to go to as many Quilt Shows as we can to get ideas for our Guild and our next show. One new addition to our show this year is a Scavenger Hunt for kids. Kind of like "I Spy". They will be given a list of items that can be found somewhere in the quilts we will have displayed. They will put the number of the quilt next to the item. They will receive a prize for their participation. This is to help introduce the younger generation to the art of quilting. Make it a family affair and mark your calendars now—3rd Saturday in September at the Fairground Exhibit Hall.
