YCAP wants to thank all who took time to show support for the future home of the boys and girls club and community recreation center called Youth Community Assistance Program on Sunday, July 11th.We hope to have inspired you.

YCAP President, Randy Holland, wants to assure everyone in the community that the recreation center is going to be a 100 percent non-profit organization and will be available to everyone. YCAP is not affiliated with ASB Karate or Gym. Holland stated that YCAP is in the process of taking in new board committee members to assure checks and balances within the organization. The hope and prayer is to have the boys and girls club and community recreation center (YCAP) completed by January of 2011.

Holland stated that there was nearly five hundred dollars raised on this past Sunday. The boys and girls on hand were on the streets with posters inviting the public and community members to come inside and see the construction progress on the YCAP building. Everyone that showed up to support the YCAP open house had very supportive things to say, as well as giving us additional ideas for the new location.

Everyone associated with YCAP is excited for the future and the promise to complete this community recreational center for all the citizens of Blanco County and their guests.

YCAP wants to give special thanks to Super S Foods for donating the hot dogs for this event. YCAP also would like to recognize the following special cash donors; David Bamberger, Jay and Allison Bullington, David Dockery, Tim Elliot, Janice Fox, Kimberly Brooks and the Best Western of Johnson City. YCAP appreciates all donations regardless of the dollar amount and there are several cash donors not listed. Every dollar donated will be put to good use and used for getting the new YCAP community recreation center ready for a grand opening in January of 2011.

If you are interested in assisting in the constuction and restoration of our community recreation center, please contact Randy Holland or Raymond Weeks. If you are willing to give cash donations, please send all checks or money orders to YCAP - PO Box 1410 - Johnson City, Texas 78636
