Summer has begun and kids are everywhere. Michala is doing a volleyball camp this week. Coy is working. So is Shay. I know what you are thinking. "How is a six-year-old working?" Shay is currently taking up space at the extra desk we have here at the office.

Everyone has been saying that we must have great help up here. She is good for retrieving things off the fax and printer. She provides us with great entertainment. She has been on YouTube. Ear phone on, she just sings away, until she catches you watching with a huge smile on your face. Then she gives you a dirty look and gets real quiet for a couple of minutes and then continues on with her singing.

It’s just Belinda and me here at the office. Shay provides us with comic relief. She also lets us know when it’s time for lunch. And "is it time to go yet?" Belinda shares the outer office space with Shay and has shown great patience with my child. I’m sure she gets a kick out of her, because you can never tell what is going to come out of her mouth.

Belinda has set up the back desk for Shay a few months after she came to work here. So Shay has colors, paints, stickers, play dough, markers, etc. Although now that it is summer, Shay brings in bags of stuff to keep her self entertained. She even brings a blanket. (Not sure what that is for, if only she would take a nap.)

She brought movies to watch on the computer Tuesday, but the computer she is using would not work with the DVDs we brought. On Wednesday morning Belinda brought in her own laptop to help my Shay be entertained.

Next week the older kids start strength and conditioning and Shay will be spending more time at the office with us. So drop on by and get your daily dose of entertainment. Unless she is glued to the computer, Shay can provide anyone with a great big smile.
