Second Act Troupe returns for another production in Johnson City on Sunday June 13. The performance will be at 3.00 pm in the Activity Center of the First United Methodist Church. Call (512) 618-3355 for information or reservation with preferred seating.

Under the umbrella title of "Three Acts of Deceit" the company will present three one act comedies including one by world famous playwright George Bernard Shaw.

In BOOK KEEPING Edwin (Allan Eastwood) is compiling a little blue book and has so far listed the names and physical attributes of 48 women. His wife Phyllis (Ellen Massey) is naturally unaware of this and would clearly be unhappy if she ever found it. What has driven Edwin to do this and how will he use this information?

In CROSSING THE BAR Margaret (Maggie Goodman) and Gretchen (Carla Daws) are in a funeral parlor eulogizing a deceased man (Marvin Carson) who they have worshipped from afar for 40 years. In both cases theirs was a completely platonic relationship so it becomes quite a shock to discover that the man they sanctified had a totally different relationship with a third woman.

HOW HE LIED TO HER HUSBAND is a classic comedy by George Bernard Shaw. Poet Henry Apjohn (Larry Oliver) idolizes Aurora Bompas (Bobbie Oliver) and has expressed his feelings of devotion for her in the numerous poems he has composed and sent to her. Aurora dramatically informs Henry that she has lost the poems and believes they may have ended up in the possession of her husband, Teddy (Dan LaFleur). Their fears are confirmed and predictably Teddy is outraged, but not for the reasons they expect.
