Apr 25

• Escort. 5:33 PM.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 9:57 PM. A vehicle was parked under trees near the fire station and reportedly looked suspicious. The vehicle belonged to a fire fighter.

• 911 Hangup. 10:27 PM. Officers responded to a 911 hangup and arrested a subject (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Burn Ban Violation. 11:02 AM. A thirty-foot stretch of ground was engulfed in ten-foot tall flames. JC VFD responded.

• Burglary. 7:06 AM. Report filed for burglary at Super S gas hut.

• Civil Standby. 12:00 PM.

Apr 28

• Suspicious Circumstances. 1:41 AM. A caller reportedly lost power and requested an officer check. The responding officers reset the breaker and power returned (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Escort. 4:06 PM. Two wide-load freight trucks needed transport through town.

• Animal Complaint. 5:48 PM. A large, black dog reportedly approached the caller aggressively. An officer located the dog and chased it away.

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between Apr 25 and Apr 30.

Apr 25

• Traffic Hazard. 9:31 AM. TxDOT responded to US 281 to clear gravel that was reported all over the roadway. Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Blanco PD, and Blanco VFD assisted.

• Trespassing. 3:52 PM. Cox Rd at river.

• Motorist Assist. 9:10 PM. US 290 West. Motorist had assistance en route.

• Alarm. 11:20 PM. Super S in Johnson City.

Apr 26

• Vandalism. 7:17 AM. A criminal trespass warning was issued.

• Loose Livestock. 11:25 AM. A black goat was tied to a gate off US 281 to keep him out of the roadway.

• Traffic Hazard. 12:44 PM. A minivan was broken down on US 290 West, partially blocking a lane. A wrecker was requested.

• Theft. 2:20 PM. Items were reported missing from a residence.

• Loose Livestock. 3:50 PM. Horses were out on the caller’s property.

• Traffic Accident. 10:16 PM. CR 308 (with Texas DPS).

Apr 27

• 911 Open Line. 5:53 AM. Weather-related.

• Animal Complaint. 3:01 PM. Dogs were relocated to SPCA in Austin after reportedly attacking an individual.

• Loose Livestock. 7:20 PM. Two small calves were reported out near RR 3232.

• Welfare Concern. 9:01 PM. A subject driving a vehicle on RR 165 looked very disoriented. The caller asked an officer to check on the subject.

Apr 28

• Burglary of a Habitation. 12:24 PM. Motorcycles and other property reported stolen.

• Prisoner Transfer. 1:19 PM. Inmate transported from Kerr County.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 1:56 PM. A caller reported mailbox damage on Red Corral Ranch Rd.

• Smoke Investigation. 2:24 PM. Smoke was reported off RR 1888; it was later reported that the smoke was gone.

• Traffic Accident. 5:41 PM. A vehicle hit a tree off RR 1. Gillespie County was notified and Stonewall first responders assisted. The state trooper confirmed that the accident occurred inside Blanco County. One subject was taken to Hill Country Memorial Hospital and later arrested (with Texas DPS).

Apr 29

• Traffic Accident. 1:18 AM. A vehicle hit an elk on US 290 West, heading toward Johnson City. The caller reported that a vehicle hit a deer and spun around. The vehicle was towed.

• Abandoned Vehicle. 6:10 AM. An abandoned vehicle north of the Y, on US 281, was towed.

• Loose Livestock. 9:41 AM. Cow out near RR 165.

• Animal Complaint. 10:28 AM. A bat was taken to Blanco Veterinary Clinic, which recommended that the bat be sent in for rabies testing.

• Criminal Mischief. 2:48 PM. Three or four mailboxes were damaged on Red Corral Ranch Rd.

• Information. 4:28 PM. A caller requested to speak with a Sheriff’s Deputy.

• Possible Break-In / Information Only. 4:42 PM. An officer was requested to come to a residence.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 9:04 PM. A caller heard noises in the night and asked an officer to investigate.

Apr 30

• Loose Livestock. 4:53 AM. Dairy cows were reported on RR 165 at Tejas Trail.

• Information. 6:44 PM. Information needed regarding trespassing.
