Pearl Hedlund, (right), presents Leanne Haley, a director of the Johnson City Community Education Foundation, a check from the members of the JC Garden Club for student scholarships and teacher grants for JCISD. The foundation is seeking funds to help every graduate from LBJ High School to get a college or technical school education. Also teachers are given grants for innovative teaching ideas.
