Robert Wilson Riddell passed away on Wednesday April 23rd at 8:30 AM at the age of 91. He was born September 30, 1916 in Round Mountain, Texas to James Hugh Riddell and Linnie Bell Herrington Riddell. Robert was born into a family of six children, one that died at an early age. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Helen Maxine Riddell.

Robert is survived by his son Lonnie Riddell and wife Sharon of Johnson City; grand- daughter Kris and husband Chris Wildman of Corpus Christi; and grandson Lance and wife Soluna Riddell of Port Lavaca. He is also survived by great grandsons Garrett and Cooper Wildman of Corpus Christi, Marc and Joseph Riddell of Port Lavaca, and one brother Wayne Riddell of Austin.

Robert and his wife Helen moved to Johnson City in 1941 from Round Mountain and begun ranching as well as serving as a county commissioner for 36 years. He was a member of the Community Church of the Hills. He loved his family, his community and people.

Graveside services for Robert were Saturday, April 26 at 10:00 AM at the Round Mountain Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, April 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City.
