Clemens Raymond Lorenz, 85, of Johnson City, TX passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 in San Antonio, TX. Clemens was born July 16, 1924 in Eckert, TX to Edwin and Sophie Lorenz. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II from June 3, 1943 to January 24, 1946. Clemens was a lifetime member of the VFW and the National Rifle Association. He married Margaret Welch on May 8, 1948 in Fredericksburg, TX. Clemens retired from Pedernales Electric Coop after 33 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonewall, TX. Clemens loved being outdoors, going hunting, and watching his goats and his dogs.

Clemens was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Lorenz; brother, Clarence Lorenz; sister, Esther Rhodes, and his grandson Braydn Dowdy. Clemens leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters; Debra Crawford and her husband Ed, Deann Dowdy and her husband Gordon; grandchildren, Mandi Welch and her husband Chris, Sheala Crawford, Chelsea Dowdy, Caleb Dowdy and great-grandchildren Rylee, Dusti, and Blaze Welch.

Visitation was at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City, TX on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 5-7pm. Funeral Services were held at 3pm on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City. Interment followed at the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Chris Welch, Bobby Cason, Douglas Lorenz, Scott Scott, and Leonard Strackbein. Honorary pallbearers included Ed Crawford, Gordon Dowdy, Caleb Dowdy, and Blaze Welch.
