Melvin D. Eubanks, 88, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Bryan, TX. He was born in San Antonio, TX to Sam Houston Eubanks and Fannie Kerby Eubanks. Melvin graduated from High School in Gonzales, TX and later joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. He proudly served his country during WWII in the CBI and South Pacific campaigns.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Claude K. Eubanks. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carolyn Parrish Eubanks; daughters, Lynn Hendricks and husband Bert of Houston and Catherin Lloyd and husband Gregory of San Diego; sister, Dolly J. Bingham and husband Sterling of Bryan, TX; brothers, Andrew M. Eubanks and wife Geneva of Bryan, TX and Huard "Doc" Eubanks and wife Gail of Houston.

Friends paid their respects from 12:00 - 5:00 PM, Friday, April 30, 2010 at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Johnson City with Rev. Kebirn Rush officiating. Interment followed in Miller Creek Cemetery.
