LBJ High School is offering the opportunity to honor a loved one who has been a part of Johnson City Schools with the establishment of their new Honor Walk in the courtyard outside of the campus library. Interested individuals may purchase an engraved brick to be installed in the patio which will be the focal point of a garden area planned, installed and maintained by high school students and staff. Agriculture teachers Steven Meier and Myron Uecker will supervise students with the assistance of the JCISD maintenance staff in creating a garden with native plants and grasses for both beauty and function. Long-term plans include providing benches, tables and rock work to expand the usefulness of the currently unused area. An order form for brick purchases is available on the high school page of the JCISD website or at the high school office. The cost is $50 per brick with up to three lines of engraving available. The deadline for the first order is Friday, May 2nd for delivery by graduation and the All-School Reunion. Additional orders will be placed each quarter for future purchases. Please contact Julie Storer – LBJ HS Principal if you have any questions.
