On April 5, 2010, the Johnson City Police Department investigated a complaint of a fox that was displaying symptoms of rabies in the 700 block of Live Oak. This is the first rabies complaint that JCPD has investigated in 2010.

We would like to remind citizens to vaccinate their pets for the safety of our community. It is required by city ordinance that citizens vaccinate their animals

that are capable of transmitting rabies.

If you observe an animal that is displaying symptoms of rabies, please notify the police department immediately by calling 830-868-7104.
