The Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Spring Fish Fry on Sunday, March 21, 2010 to raise monies to retire the cost of the new fire station, built in 2009. Serving will begin at 11 a.m. Unlike their Fish Fry in October of each year, this event will be a drive-though, take-out only meal. Although the meals will be take-out only, the food will be the same delicious fried fish and fixings that the SVFD is famous for. The menu will be: Fried Fish Fillets, Potato Salad, Pinto Beans, Hushpuppies and a dessert. All for the suggested donation of $8 per plate. The fire department will gladly accept additional donations the day of the event or donations may be sent to: SVFD – Bldg Fund, P. O. Box 224, Stonewall, TX 78671

In conjunction with the fish fry, the SVFD is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one of ten guns. Only 2, 000 raffle tickets will be sold, at a cost of $10 each. Plans are to have all tickets sold before the drawing on Sunday, March 21, 2010. For more information, call the SVFD at 830-644-5571.

Directions: The Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department is located at the corner of U.S. Highway 290 East and Ranch Road 1623 North. Enter the fire department parking lot off R.R. 1623 North. SVFD members will be on Ranch Rd. 1623 North to direct traffic and take your food orders.
