Johnson City’s baseball team continued their season Tuesday night with a 24-1 victory over the Ingram Warriors. With the victory, the Eagles ran their season record to 7-0.

Luke Neely started on the mound for the Eagles and went three strong innings before being relieved by Kris McDonald and Treyler Caulfield. Neely managed to limit the Warrior hitters to only three hits while he struck out three Ingram hitters. Neely could have gone the distance for the Eagles but the coaching staff decided to save his arm for the upcoming San Saba tournament.

"McDonald and Caulfield did a good job of coming in and finishing out the game" said pitching coach Casey Buaas.

Offensively, the Eagles were led by Cody Smith who went 2 for 2 with one of his hits being a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Four other Eagles had a multi-hit game, these included: Kris McDonald, Cody Crofts, Luke Neely and Treyler Caulfield, who hit safely twice. Dylan Carter, Laramie Blackwell, Aaron Humphrey and Ridge Weeks also added hits to the Johnson City 14 hit attack.
