The LBJ Middle School Eagles did a great job at their first track meet last Friday night.
Individual athletes placing in the top 3 of their events were:
•Garrett DeLeon - 2nd in Shot Put
•Whitney Wood - 3rd in 300 hurdles
•Tori Mahar - 3rd in Shot Put
•Katelyn Barrientes - 1st in 100 meter dash
•Tiffany Hulse - 1st in 100 meter dash
•Haley Sharp - 3rd in shot put
•Brooke Wood - 1st in pole vault and 3rd in 800 run
•Dalton Crofts - 2nd in the 1600 and 2400 meter runs
•Journey Gonsoulin - 3rd in 300 hurdles
•Aaron McKennis - 3rd in Discus
•Hunter Sasko - 2nd in high jump and 3rd in 110 hurdles
Relay teams that placed in the top three were:
•7th grade boys 4x100 relay 3rd place (Manius, Rutherford, Sasko, Gonsoulin)
•7th grade boys 4x200 relay 2nd place (Manius, Rutherford, Gonsoulin, Rassett)
•8th grade girls 1st in 4x200 relay (B. Wood, K. Wood, Cones, Barrientes)
•8th grade girls 2nd in 4x400 relay (B. Wood, W. Wood, Cones, K. Wood)
•8th grade girls 3rd in 4x100 relay (Jones, Bible, Stanton, Barrientes)
All the athletes did a GREAT job for in the first meet of the year. Our next meet is this Friday in Blanco.
