Well, did we all enjoy the snow? I know four ladies that did. They were like the postman... neither rain, nor hail, nor sleet, nor snow would keep them from their appointed rounds.

I had sent out three quilts to a lady to quilt for me and she called me on the Monday before the snow to let me know that she was coming through town on Tuesday to go to Creations in Kerrville with several other ladies. I thought then that they might not make it but I was suppose to meet her at the Courthouse and get my quilts.

Well, Tuesday morning around the time I was to meet her it was snowing heavily and I just loved it, but I was not going to get out to meet them because it was snowing. I received a phone call shortly after the time I was to meet her and she was laughing. I thought she was going to tell me that she was not here and still at home. Not so….She was at the appointed place and wondered where I was. I gave her directions to my house and she delivered the quilts to me. They had decided that they were heading back home and were disappointed that they could not go to a quilt shop that day.

I had been going thru my quilting stuff and was going to let quilt guild members come and shop and I had it all set up in my home for them, so when the ladies got to my house I invited them in to shop and they had a great time.

So just remember the saying, "DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS", you can also apply that to quilters. "DON’T MESS WITH QUILTERS", they will go through almost anything to get to purchase that piece of fabric or book or kit. I still have a few things I would like to get rid of, so if you are interested, give me a call.

Happy Quilting, Janie
