The LBJ Eagle varsity boys basketball team concluded their 2009-2010 basketball season this past Tuesday evening, February 16 with a close loss at Comfort, falling to the Bobcats 40-38. The Eagles held a slim 14-10 lead aft halftime. In the 3rd period each team picked up the tempo on offense and Comfort came out of the period with a 32-27 lead. The Eagles outscored Comfort in the fourth period, 11-8, but it was not quite enough to pull out the victory.

Jacob Sisson led LBJ in scoring with 11 points followed by Kris McDonald with 10 points, Wyatt Eubanks had 9 points and Jordan Jones and Laramie Blackwell each added 4 points. Sisson was the leading rebounder with 9 followed by Eubanks with 7, Blackwell with 6, McDonald with 5, Jones with 3, and Van Johnson with 1. Jones led the team in assists with 4 followed by McDonald with 2, Eubanks and Sisson each had one.

This was the final game for 3 Eagle seniors. Jordan Jones, Nick Mahrou and Chris Eddy. Congratulations to these 3 seniors for all their achievements and contributions to the Eagle basketball team. The Eagles finished 4th in District 27-2A with a overall record of 12-15.
