The Round Mountain Extension Education Association Club met on February 16th at 2:00pm in the lovely home of Peggy Aldridge. The meeting was called to order by Barbara Wilson who opened the meeting with readings entitled Why Men Prefer Guns and A Dead Duck. We enjoyed a few laughs.

There were 13 members answering roll call and one guest, Ceil Lindsey, from Casper Wy. Minutes were read and approved. Reminders were given for those who have not turned in recipes for the Spring Luncheon on April 22. They are due in the agent’s office by March 8th. Deb McClintock has volunteered to help the agent with the cookbook.

The District 10 meeting that will be in Fredericksburg on March 16th was discussed. Blanco County EEA clubs are in charge of the Cultural Arts Exhibit. We had several to volunteer to work in the exhibit.

We will meet on March 24th to construct table decorations for the luncheon.

We enjoyed a program given by Peggy Fiest and Joycelyn Carter on Talking to Your Doctor. After giving information they opened it up to a general discussion and we all learned a lot.

Delicious refreshments were served by Peggy Aldridge. We enjoyed visiting and wishing Deb McClintock and Jan Clemons a happy birthday. Our next meeting will be on March 17th at the home of Jan Clemons. The program will be Connecting Generations.

The Blanco County Extension program is sponsored by the Texas Agri Life Extension Service. Questions about TEEA and other extension programs can be directed to Gretchen Sanders, County Extension Agent-Family and Consumer Sciences at 868-7167.
