William "Bill" Mauldin, 77, passed away January 13, 2010 in Fredericksburg, TX. He was born in Lometa, TX to Elwin Earl Mauldin and Ethel Ivy Mauldin.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Early Louise Givens and Judy Didway, and son, William David "Bubba" Mauldin.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Lavonne "Boots" Mauldin; two sons, Donnie Earl Mauldin and wife Ellen of Johnson City and Bryan Lee Mauldin and wife Martha Jane of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Ashley Mauldin Agold and husband Aaron, Bryan Lee Mauldin, JR., Katherine Ruth "Katie" Mauldin, Gwendolyn Lee Farrel and husband Matthew Carlton. Bill is also survived by his dear pets and grand-dogs, Cricket and Tootie.

Visitation was 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2010 at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Johnson City. Interment followed in Miller Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the North Blanco Co. EMS or to the Johnson City Volunteer Fire Dept.
