George Richard "Richie" Tanner, 68, of Albert, TX passed away January 4, 2010 in Austin, TX. He was born August 2, 1941 in Beeville, TX to James Othello Tanner and Della Arrington Tanner. Richie was preceded in death by his parents; baby sister, Dolores Tanner, and sister, Amydelle Tanner Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of over 23 years, Socorro Tanner, four children, Toby Renee Tanner, Richard Zack Tanner and wife Ashlee, Robin Dee Honingschmidt, and Mossie Delores Tanner; two brothers, James Othello "Boy" Tanner and wife Betty and Larry Tanner and wife Patricia; eight grandchildren, Melanie, Ben, Jacy, Madlynn, Tatum, Gabe, Hanna, and Jacob; and by one great grandson, Evan.

Visitation was held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City where funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2009. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
