Well, several ladies tried to get to the quilt display at The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum this past month. We did not make it. I understand there was a wonderful display of antique quilts and fabric.

A Legacy of Quilts—The Briscoe Center’s Joyce Gross Collection included 29 quilts made between 1844-1950. Along with the display of quilts, antique fabric was also displayed.

Well, as I said we tried. We planned a trip right after Christmas and that did not work out. I would have been out of town myself but they were going without me and I planned to go later. They did not get to go and my plans fell through when I got back, but I found out that the original trip was planned again for Sunday so I thought I would get to go anyway. No such luck, plans fell through again. It was not to be.

We missed it and I know you can go online and see them so perhaps that is what I will do. I know that probably someone got to go and if you did, I would love to hear about the quilts and fabric from you.

Until then, we will be watching for the next quilt sightings.

Happy Quilting, Janie
