Petra Olgine Romero, 82, of Round Mountain, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in Austin, TX.

She was born in Leon Springs, TX to Adolpho Olgine and Margarita Gonzales Olgine.

Petra was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two daughters, Herminia Espinoza and Esperanza Olgine; grand son, Baby Boy Espinoza; and her husband of 45 years, Antonio Romero, Sr.

She is survived by aunt, Wanda Rangel of California; nine children, Virginia Celestino of San Antonio, Patricia Romero of Burnet, Julia Paxton and husband Frank of Austin, Isidro Romero and wife Becky of Cibolo, Antonio Romero, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Austin, Roberto Romero and wife Amada of Pasadena, Johnny Romero of New Braunfels, Grace Romero and husband James of Round Mountain, and Renee Torre and husband Willie of Blanco. Petra is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City with a Rosary at 7:00 PM that evening. Catholic funeral rites were celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, December 28, 2009 at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery, Johnson City. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
