Jr. High Girls

The Middle School Lady Eagle basketball team met up with Hunt last Monday night. The 7th grade team put up a good fight – but lost 14-39. Hailey Hernandez and Katelyn Reveal were the top scorers with 6 points each. Ceslea Patillo also scored 2 points.

The 8th grade team fought hard as well – but lost to Hunt 29-51. The ladies started out strong and kept up with them but the strong scoring of Hunt prevailed. Brooke Wood was the lead scorer with 12 points followed by Lydia Yachismki with 7 points in which she made 5 out of her 6 free-throw opportunities. Other notable scorers were Kiley Wood with 4 points and Whitney Wood, Anjelica Ramirez, and Taylor Kay with 2 points. The ladies will be taking a break but will resume play on Thursday, January 7th against Blanco.

Jr. High Boys

The Middle School Eagles basketball team also took on Hunt this week.

The C Team took a 5 to 10 loss. The Eagle offense was spread out. Luke Scuitto putshed the ball down the floor and Hunter Sasko played excellent defense.

The 7th graders won against Hunt with a score of 22 to 19. Will Rutherford led the Eagles’ scoring with 7 points. Cullen Haley and Dalton Crofts contributed with 4 a piece. Jake Rassett played well by tracking down several rebounds. This was the first win of the season for the 7th grade team. Keep up the good work!

The Eagles 8th grade team lost 20 to 40 to the Hunt team. Preston Workman led with 7 points and Garrett DeLeon chipped in 5. Burke Bisher worked hard on defense.

This was the last game of the semester for the middle school Eagles. They will play their next game when spring semester begins. The boys will be on the road vs. Blanco on January 7th.
