The LBJ Eagle varsity boys basketball team captured their 2nd straight tournament trophy this past weekend taking home the consolation title at the Center Point Tournament. The Eagles defeated Center Point 62-44 in the consolation game. The Eagles jumped out to a 16-4 lead after the first period and maintained a double digit lead throughout the ball game. Jordan Jones led all Eagle players with 14 points followed by Wyatt Eubanks, Cody Atwood and Jacob Sisson who all scored 12 points each, Kris McDonald was also in double figures with 10 points. The Eagles pulled down 34 total rebounds led by Eubanks with 8, Sisson with 6 and McDonald with 5.

In the 2nd round game the Eagles defeated Center Point’s JV squad by a score of 72-15. Atwood led the team in points with 19 followed by Jones with 14 and Eubanks with 12. Sisson led the team in rebounds with 6. In the Eagles first round game they were defeated by Our Lady of the Hills out of Kerrville. 41-28. Atwood led the team in points with 10, Eubanks led in rebounds with 8 followed by London McQueen with 6.

The Eagles will play at Lago Vista on Friday of this week. The freshman game is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm followed by the JV at 6:30 and the varsity game at approximately 8:00. Please come out and support your Eagle basketball teams.
