We have had a good week with several services here helping anyone in our county that needs help. A BIG Thank You goes to the Catholic Charities and to the Capitol Area Food Bank. You have provided services that have blessed us all. This brings us to Girling Health Care, Texas Health Care Solutions, and Texas Home Health. These health care services have more than blessed our little community time and time again.
Well, Friday the 18th of December, is our Tenant Christmas Party starting @ 4:00 PM sponsored by the Tenant Association. See you there tenants. We are having a meal, gifts, laughter, and just a fun time.
Christmas Day is Friday, December 25th, 2009. Many popular modern customs of the holiday include gift-giving, music, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various decorations; including Christmas trees, lights, and garlands, mistletoe, nativity scenes, and holly. Amongst all of this, is the love you will find right here in our community. Nothing is more beautiful than the love and kindness we share with each other. You find this also in our town of Johnson City, Texas. How many places do you know that celebrate each other and also strangers as if they were family? No matter who you are or where you are, remember that the folks at Oak Crest and Leaning Oaks of J.C.H.A. wish you the best with a special wish for an even better New Year.
Food for thought: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." - Franklin D. Roosevelt
The world is not ending in 2012 or any other time soon. Our civilization is not disintegrating. History is composed of cycles within cycles. Some years are better than others, but across the ages life just goes on. Individually, we do have our crises - mostly from unexpected directions, but so have all people from all ages. We can choose to face life with courage or with fear, and this determines our choice for happiness or for emotional suffering. Let this be a happy time for all of you.
