America’s Run will feature Half Marathon, 5K, Fitness Expo and Kids’ events in April 2010.

Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will open its doors the weekend of April 9-11, 2010 to runners and fitness enthusiasts from North Texas and around the world. Known as America’s Run, this weekend of events will include activities for all ages and skill levels and is produced by ESP Capital in partnership with Cowboys Stadium. "America’s Run will provide something for everyone with a full array of activities for experienced and novice runners, fitness enthusiasts and families right in the heart of Arlington’s Entertainment District," says Charlotte Anderson, Executive Vice President of the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. "We are proud to host an event series of this caliber at Cowboys Stadium. This is just another example of the creative way this venue can be something for everyone in North Texas and around the world."

Running event participants will have an unprecedented opportunity few people in the country will ever have. The America’s Run Half Marathon and 5K runs will end on the field of Cowboys Stadium and runners will have their Finish Line moment displayed in high definition on the world-famous Cowboys Stadium Video Boards.

The America’s Run event series will kick off with a Running and Fitness Expo, a sports, health and wellness exhibitor showcase spanning more than 50,000 square-feet on Cowboys Stadium’s West Plaza decks. Saturday, April 10 will be devoted to family fun and will feature kid-friendly a One Mile Fun Run and FitFest, a family- and fitness-oriented activity area in the Champions Plaza. Other weekend activities will include special tours, seminars and live music.

The weekend will culminate on Sunday, April 11 with the America’s Run Half Marathon and 5K events, which are poised to become the largest of their kind in the region. Runners will enjoy challenging certified courses, entertainment and refreshments and commemorative inaugural event merchandise. At the Finish Line, a surprise musical guest will headline the Field Festival to help celebrate the finishing participants and their family and friends.

"America’s Run will be a first-class event consistent with the scope of Cowboys Stadium," says ESP Capital partner and Luke’s Locker President Matt Lucas. "We are bringing the expertise and experience of the Luke’s Locker events team and will work very hard to provide the right elements for runners and walkers to enjoy."

Limited to the first 20,000 registrants, Half Marathon and 5K participants are encouraged to enter and begin training early. Runner registration, sponsorship and exhibitor packages, links to training programs and additional information can be found online at www.americasrun.com.
