It is November 30th, 2009 and it is cold, raining, and beautiful. We love the rain even if it is cold. November 30th, 2009 also brings us December. It is absolutely amazing how fast time moves. It seems like we just had Christmas, didn’t we?

I heard that we had lots of people in town for the lighting of the courthouse on Friday. And then I heard that on Saturday our Lights Spectacular "Lighted Hooves and Wheels Parade " was everything that is brilliant and bright. Volunteers put in a lot of time and hard work to make this such a success and I am sure that they very seldom receive thanks. I say thank you to all of you for making our town so special to live in.

If you haven’t driven around town yet, come and check out the lights at our little community. Everyday is an amazing experience as more and more people put up lights and decorations. It seems that we are all well here and enjoying a good life watching the deer and turkeys roam.

I hope everybody remembered the Food Pantry on December 2nd. The people who do this are exceptionally kind and courteous. They truly give of themselves and make our lives better and kinder to live in. We say thank you for all your hard work and time. You help so many so people.

Our tenant association is working on a cookbook to sell. We have some wonderful cooks and to share their recipes is what makes this cookbook so special. Some of these recipes have been around a long time and in the family for many years. We should have the cookbook together soon to sell.

Happy Birthday to all of you December people.

Food for thought: "A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds; it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before the change."

You aren’t born into achievement — it takes work. And a great attitude just gets you there that much faster.
