The Johnson City Police Department responded to 5 burglary of vehicle calls on 11-21-2009. There were several items stolen including 2 firearms. All the vehicles that were burglarized, doors were unlocked. The good news is that there are 2 local suspects and there will soon be warrants issued. The sad and bad news is the suspects are our neighbors and we now need to consider locking our vehicle doors on our own property. There was a Shell credit card stolen in Johnson City and an attempted use of that credit card occurred at approximately 7am on Saturday, 11/21/09 in Blanco. These same local suspects are implicated in the Blanco burglary of vehicles that occurred on Saturday 11/21/09. I have personally counseled and have given effort to the reform of these two local suspects. If anyone needs to borrow some of my tools and or valuables, all you need to do is ask. The life of a thief will always be miserable. PLEASE CONSIDER THESE WORDS AND LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS. Chief of Police, Randy Holland
