LBJ High School senior, Kelya Jureczki closed out her brilliant career this past Saturday, November 7 by competing in the Region IV-2A cross country meet held in San Antonio at Brooks City Base. Jureczki ran very well against a highly tough and competitive field, consisting of the top runners from throughout south and southeast Texas. She finished in the top quarter of the field.
Jureczki has had an outstanding career in cross country and is the most decorated runner in LBJ High School history. Her career achievements are numerous: 2 state meet appearances in 2006 and 2007, a top 40 finish in 06 and top 20 finish in 07 at state, 4 regional meet appearances, 2006-2009, 2 top 10 finishes at regionals, 1 district championship and 4 top 3 finishes at district. She has set a very high standard for all future cross country runners at LBJ High School. Congratulations to Kelya for a truly tremendous career.
