James William Bible, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Austin. James was born in Johnson City, TX to James Martin Bible and Ella Withers Bible. Mr. Bible was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Bible. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ann Bible; four sons, John Bible and wife Vickie of Burnet, Robert Bible and wife Marie of Burnet, James Bible and wife Karen of Austin, and Ray Bible and wife Rayette of Johnson City; four daughters, Mary Baker of Austin, Carolin Clark of Austin, Patricia Smith and husband John of Clute, and Betty Edwards of Clute; two brothers, Roy Bible and wife Joyce of Johnson City and Robert Bible and wife Lillie of Johnson City; three sisters, Opal Wuensche and husband Mickey of Austin, Mary Howe of Blanco, and Ruby Gipson of Cottonwood Shores. Mr. Bible is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews and friends

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in memory of James Bible at Johnson City Bank, P.O. Box 426, Johnson City, TX 78636.
